Pichavaram Mangrove Forest

Image
Visited one of the largest mangrove forests in India. This happened after a long time planning. Many times the plan was canceled due to the situation, but finally it happened with— my mom, my friend, and her mom. We traveled 55.3 km from Cuddalore to Pichavaram with a two-wheeler. I was excited to ride my new scooty on the highway road with my mom, and it was my first trip with my mom. We moved from Cuddalore to the Killai village and reached the mangrove forest. After reaching the place, we parked the vehicles and we felt very thirsty, so we had a sugarcane juice. We went through the booking prices. There were two options available — one was the row boat and the other was a motor boat. We finally picked the row boat. It cost ₹1000 for 4 members. It was a sunny Sunday and many people had arrived to visit. We waited for 30 minutes to get into our respective boat. We were provided with life jackets. We all were excited except my aunty. She was in fear by seeing the ride of others. My ...

Actions Speak Louder Than Words!

Image
When we were in our childhood, we liked to watch cartoons. We learned many new things by watching them. Likewise, I came to know about miming . A person acts in the streets and performs in a show. They paint their face and wear a black and white costume. They speak nothing, but their actions deliver the thoughts. I got an opportunity to take part in the miming event in my college for the celebration of National Women's Day( Feb 13) . It was so fun, and I enjoyed doing that with my team. We showcased the empowerment of women in society. Through silent expressions and powerful gestures, we contributed to the message of equality and empowerment. When we started to perform, the audience watched very carefully with their interest. Sometimes, they laughed for the funny content. When we finished the performance, everyone encouraged us with a round of applause. We got 2nd prize for our performance. This day will be cherished as a beautiful memory.

The Attitude of Gratitude

Being grateful is essential but not always considered. So, it is important to remind ourselves to be thankful for what we have. It is not necessary to thank every day for everything you have, but it is important to remember and appreciate what you do have—the people around you, the food you eat, good physical health, the ability to do something you enjoy, etc An attitude of gratitude is a mindset, a way of being that focuses on the good things in life. It's about recognizing and appreciating the small joys. When we adopt being grateful, we begin to see the world as a place of abundance rather than scarcity. We people always focus on things we don’t have and compare ourselves with others. To improve our level, first, we need to invest our focus on ourselves. A person becomes greater when he/she values themselves highly. Instead of comparing and complaining, be grateful for what we have.  When you have gratitude for what you have, you realize how blessed you are. Gratitude is a power...

Journey toward Inner Peace

Image
Yesterday, my friend and I decided to visit Auroville, a place known for its spiritual essence and peaceful surroundings. It was about an hour's drive from my place, and we were both eager to experience the tranquility of the Matrimandir ( Soul of the City ), which we had already booked online. Although we planned to reach the center by 8:30 AM, we arrived a bit earlier, around 7:30 AM. This gave us the perfect opportunity to explore the area and get a glimpse of Auroville's unique way of life. First Impressions of Auroville  As we entered Auroville, we immediately noticed how green and vibrant the place was. The climate was cool and pleasant, and we watched the sunrise as its warmth touched our eyes and the coolness caressed our skin. The trees and greenery around us created a calm atmosphere. People living in Auroville seem to embrace a sustainable and peaceful way of life.  A Morning Walk and a Warm Welcome After parking our vehicle, we enjoyed a peaceful morning walk towar...
